TiCoune66   [Jan 29, 2011 at 01:31 AM]
Not anymore Mr. Gull! There's now 20+ min. long vids on YouTube. You're not limited to 10 min. anymore! Wink

EDIT: I just checked and it's now 15 min. Does it last more than 15 min?
Form109   [Jan 29, 2011 at 01:32 AM]
Yes Vince is right, ive seen videos that have hit 1 Hour on youtube.
gailgrove   [Jan 29, 2011 at 01:32 AM]
But it does have to be under a certain size, failing that it could be uploaded here.
GullWhiz   [Feb 18, 2011 at 07:43 PM]
Okay guys! I have finally posted the video. But I have decided to keep that ONE in private....but I had hard time putting a list down to who can view it...Here is a link to the video, and tell me if you have any problems viewing it

A lot of you know I am deaf, I was explaining narrating during the movie with my "Deaf accent" speech and was signing in sign language too! I will add subtitles in the future but if any of you know sign language (I know a few who does!) would be nice to help explain what I said Smile TEAMWORK!

Powering up the 1500 watt MH lamp!

TiCoune66   [Feb 18, 2011 at 10:46 PM]
I wish I knew sign language! But it was a really cool video! I guess it was and least 10 times brighter than in the video XD
dor123   [Feb 19, 2011 at 03:49 AM]
Jace, when entering your video, Youtube forces me to sign in.
Why?
Update: After sign into my account, Youtube writes, that this is a private video.
Why?
rjluna2   [Feb 19, 2011 at 04:19 AM]
I don't have the YouTube account either Neutral
joe_347V   [Feb 19, 2011 at 04:37 AM]

GullWhiz   [Feb 19, 2011 at 06:29 AM]
Alright guys, I will change the setting so you can view it. I had it on private.....So I will make this easier for you guys....(and harder for me LOL!)

Here you go
Powering up the 1500 MH Lamp here...should work for you guys now!
rjluna2   [Feb 19, 2011 at 02:40 PM]
A good presenation, but you talk too much Razz

What Jace described that he set this up temporary, so it won't get hot enough and I'm sure he would be okay with this arrangement. The only real danger of risk of rupture is when the bulb is really worn and the wall of the arc has been devitrification enough to weaken the crystal structure could fail. Especially if this one is running 24/7.
GullWhiz   [Feb 19, 2011 at 03:03 PM]
Right....but I ddnt know if the ballast was workiing perfectly either...so I was protecting myself in case of a short and if it overdrove......I probably talked too much to the people know knows lighting, but not to the unknown and who wants to learn more......!
joe_347V   [Feb 20, 2011 at 05:38 AM]
Very cool video Jace, thanks for changing the setting so I could view it.

The 1500w MH lamp looks huge Shocked
gailgrove   [Feb 20, 2011 at 04:08 PM]
Its the same size as a 1KW MH (BT-56)
rjluna2   [Feb 20, 2011 at 11:38 PM]
Except the 1500 Watts arc tube is longer than the 1000 Watts arc tube.

I salvaged the 1KW MH some time ago when I was at the Community College and I ran it with 400 Watts MV ballast (The H33 ones). It did work, but it is really underdriven as if it does light cycles just like failing HPS bulb. I did continued to use it until the bulb no longer able to strike up Razz

I got rid of the bulb when I moved down to Atlanta.
