I have one of these Smile , although mine is used. These are really cool looking photocontrols.

I have one of these (sealed eye and all) but it doesn't work. When it sees light the contacts violently chatter and the fixtures makes these "EGGGGGGGG" noises as the bulb flickers and flashes. I'd open it up to try and fix it (I've fixed a couple Ripleys with that issue) but the cover is glued on. Still serves as a great display piece though, as you can see inside.

Interesting. Mine has screws to hold the cover on, no glue.

One of the large GE's I have does that, chatters very violently when light hits it. Luckily it just snaps into the housing, though I haven't tried to mess with it. That's really odd that some are glued into place. I've only ever seen them screwed into place. I do have a used version of this but the insides are in really poor condition so it's just a display piece.
