Fisher Pierce OLC - 2 -NYC -2
Here is the FPLOC , TRS-2-NYC-2 photo control I purchased for the ERS2. This is upward facing and recommended for LED lighting. It looks to have a quite large surge arrestor inside.

Nice! I always thought that circuit boards couldn't be exposed to direct sunlight though. I guess the plastic blocks the UV rays?

I hope. Yes, this is better looking than the Ripley NYC controls. I don't particularly like that orange stripe.

I recently got one of these Fisher Pierce TRS NYC PC's too.

Nice have you used it on any fixtures yet. I'm interested in what light level turn on it is. It is a neat looking control.

If it's anything like the newer Fisher Pierce units, it's very light sensitive. The ones here don't come on til pretty late. Sunset was 7:39 tonight and the lights didn't come on until about 8PM (and it was cloudy; if it was clear out, the lights probably wouldn't come on until 8:20 or so, they seem to be strongly influenced by infrared light ). All the lights on my block have newer FP PCs and they are consistent with each other on any given night but they never seen to turn on at the same light level every night. Sometimes they come on rather early (still late IMO but earlier than normal) and other times it's so dark I almost start to wonder if the fixtures died lol). But all four that I can see from my house (including the one in front of my house) come on within five minutes of each other.

The lights on my grandparents' street (that were all 100W MV but now 70W HPS) all have new FP photocells and all 15 of them come on within five to ten minutes of each other. It's actually really cool. One will come on, warm up, then another one immediately comes on after and warms up, then another and another. I noticed the newer Sylvania lamps start off like the old early/mid-90s GEs (with the bluish color!)
