Garage door opener lamps had a similar etch I think, so I guess they were made at the same factory.

I've noticed the same. I was surprised this one was made in the USA, all the other GE Silver Bowl bulbs made since the very late 90s were made in Mexico.

Maybe the production of some wattages have not been transfered to the Mexican factory. The same situation happened with Canadian Soft Whites and Crystal Clears. The 150W and 200W A21 lamps are still made in Canada while the production of all other remaining wattages (40W - 60W - 75W - 100W) has been transfered to Mexico.
