The BT bulge is actually called "crown"
The 1000 watt cobraheads has the crown support too!

Are all 1000w lamps BT56? Or are some the ED shape.

BT-56 shape has been phased out in Europe, but in North America all high wattage mercury and metal halide lamps (1000W and above) have always been in a BT-56 bulb.

In the USA ALL are BT56 as far as I know for the non-cram lamp....but in UK it's different...

Except for 1KW HPS. Jace I don't see a lamp support in
this
