Burnt out lamp in my postop light.
Old pic from 2007. If I remember I relamped it with an incandescent before converting the postop to CFL.

Right now I plan to re-convert the light to better buglight CFLs, the GE ones suck! The heads of the light are still full of bugs, thus full of spiders XD. I will relamp either with better, yellow-tinted CFLs or relamp back with incandescents as the old GEs burn out.

hmmmm i got an idea.....is it in code to remote ballast this,as in have a box in the house with wiring for all three fixtures running through conduit to the fixtures, like 50 watt MV or something like that?...that'd be cool.

Hmm, I have a ESA (Ontario Electrical code) book and it doesn't cover that Neutral

I wish I had three 50W MV ballasts LOL. Could be a cool project. Technically it's possible to remote-ballast the fixture from the house. There's a PVC pipe running from the house (near the main panel) to the fixture base. I could remove the romex wire and install individual conductors. I would make three ventilated ballast boxes using those PSU casings, but instead of installing a socket on the top, I would just run the wires out of the box by the hole made for that purpose (where all the 12V and 5V wires usually go through), or drill a 3/8" hole and install a connector for flexible metallic conduit. I would then run the three conduits from the ballast boxes into a single junction box fastened to the PVC pipe already entering into the house.

I don't know if it would MEET the electrical code, but if I do it right, the installation would be safe, especially if I install fuses and thermal protectors in the ballast boxes.
