AWESOME!!!! This totally brings back memories! In the '70s when I was a kid, the local Arby's had a sign like this. I think the incandescent bulbs around the edge were chasing. The building itself was also shaped like a big hat with incandescent bulbs around the edge. There was a walk-up window under the brim.

I actually worked on an Arby's big hat sign, repairing the neon having to climb inside to replace the tubing, NST, incandescent socket repair ect. sadly these are very rare now. I remember these in the 70s too.

This one still is in service......in this area there are few Neon signs that are still very alive, then there's some that doesn't work but left alone for Historical purpose....this sign is SORT OF in the Historical part of Laurel....not exactly...but it is just a few blocks from the Historical Laurel downtown and there is a Historical Laurel Museum there too...
