Here is a Paulding brand of photocontrol with a 1" cadmium sulfide eye and shield, it is made in Brazil, but has John I. Paulding Inc. New Bedford, MA USA on the housing,has similarities to older FP PC's.

What do those shields do besides make the PC less light sensitive? Nice PC BTW. Cool I thought you spelled "Spaulding" wrong at first. Laughing

Laughing Thanks Mike Cool The shield is there to help prevent stray light near ground level from reaching the eye.

Sorry for the late reply: That makes sense... Is this an instant response unit or a time delay unit? I think i have a Fisher Pierce PC or two what look very close to this design. I'll have to post pics for my individual PCs...

Ahh. I think all my PCs have a 2 second or so delay except for the intermatic (thermal, which i HATE) and the two blue tough and glow PCs (instant response).
