i dont think the Refractor Would Melt....it might Soften just a little Bit though...and in a Permenant Setup that lense would Yellow Up Quickly.

actually refractors can melt on 250 watt in some cases....althought it may not melt fast, but in permanet setup refractors do MELT! even on 250 watt! I know some streetlights near me in this case!

In fact in David F.s fallery, he had a pic of a 400w MV OVX that had the refractor melt all the way off! (he has 2 pics)
