How does the color compare to standard incandescents? Do they just have a blue coating on the inside of the bulb to make it look more blue/daylight-ish
If I'm not mistaken, neither Sylvania nor Philips uses neodymium in the manufacture of their color-enhanced daylight incandescents. They produce basically pale blue light which is not particularly attractive or visually warm (which explains while sales of Sylvania and Philips daylight bulbs have languished). These are inferior to true neodymium lamps like the GE Reveal and Verilux brands. I'm surprised these are still sold.
