Looks just like mine, I alwayys wondered why the frame dosent go all the way from bottom to top and have a creamic thing to prevent color shifing. Talk about one tricky bulb to manufacture! and it looks as if the fixture has no blast sheild.
Cool!..and no there is no Shielding Here...so im willing to Bet the lamp isnt rated for open fixtures....it has a nice color when warmed up...too bad MH cant be as reliable or function as long as MV can.
I wonder if eventually a lifeguard type MH lamp would be possible, it would be with CMH technology, and just make the ceramic arctube degrade slower and they would not fail at 20K hrs.
The Lifeguard Emitters slowed blackening of the arctube...i doubt that would Help a CMH lamp as the high pressure and high chemical activity seem to be the main life limiting factors on those.
