A recent ebay find, here's a Crouse-Hinds 400W mercury vapour L-150 streetlight. These never saw use here in Western Canada so I thought it would be cool to add one to my collection.Interesting design,it seems like something is missing with the exposed mounting bolts.

There's one near me...you konw Darren...Now one question is....is it actually called a L-400??? I know in Westinghouse version it was called OV-400....The first Westinghouse OV-400 was a OV-15 body with 400 watt MV ballast......this exact fixture and above fixture is the results of the OVX you know?

These are about as rare as those mercury vapor L-250's.

Kansas seems to have tons of old lights. On the interstates and all.

I think they are Mercury Vapor, I dunno.

What I see on the interstate in kansas, are lots of L-150s, OV-15s, 113, 313, OVZ, Lots of small fixtures. And the OV-15 and the L-150 seem pretty common on the state roads. I have seen lots on 70 through kansas.

I saw one L-150 in Breckenridge, CO...it was dayburning and LOOKED like it was MV, but it could have been a cycling HPS....

I see. Maybe next time I go to Breckenridge I can check that out. Do you know where it was?

Darren could you show a pic of the L150 insides? I'd like to see how the 400w ballast fits inside a small luminaire.

It was not too far off the hotel I visited.....Let me figure it out..
