I like this shape better than the first ATB0's I just saw on a small street today.

Yeah these are pretty nice. They also use a concentrated cluster of LEDs with a glass globe to direct the light rather than a flat panel of lights, so the distribution is a bit better. These have a super sharp house side cut-off too. VERY sharp! The glare from the sides is a big harsh though at certain angles but in order to provide better illumination up/down the street.

ah I like. Their panel led lights (autobans) have great light distribution surprisingly. Like smooth, far throwing with no central patch of light.

When I had my ATBO installed, I was quite impressed with the distribution on the ground. By far IMO, AEL has the best quality LED fixtures. The GE ones we installed just felt cheap.

Nice find on this to Mike! I've been wanting the warmer color temp LED fixture for some time. That type would work amazing for the pool area.

I would prefer 3000k LEDs here too. Unfortunately the GE Evolves the are installing here are 5000k, which is way too cold and harsh. Not to mention when you approach one from the side, the effect is similar to a laser being pointed in your eye.

Yeah the 3000K LEDs have a really nice color to them. I'm hoping a 40W version pops up at the DPW too. Not sure why/how this one ended up there (or if more will turn up there) but there's nothing wrong with the light. It even came with a 4ft straight aluminum mounting arm, which would be from the early 60s and originally would have held a 1000L incandescent (radial wave probably). The mounting arm is of this style. They're pretty uncommon in RI. They were used along with 4ft steel arms for the incandescents. When they got rid of the incandescents, they got rid of the steel arms too but all the aluminum arms (well, not sure about every single one, but most) were left in place. Most of these aluminum arms were 6ft upsweep but some were those 4ft guys.
