Model Phillips Road Focus RFS LED (credit tpirman1982)
Poor Phillips, my city has to date only found value in their lights for park paths. Here is a fixture upgrade project that went from Powerlite and Cooper HPS boxes to these LEDs. Usually for a set up of this age, the city will replace the whole system (poles and wiring). Oddly enough, this project also involved spot replacement poles and underground wiring. Usually round poles are used on replacements, but they were considerate to use new poles of the original square profile. Bit of a trend around here lately of that, Model25 just uploaded a picture of a new direct-bury sectional steel pole that has been unheard of around here since the 80's.

But I think these new LED fixtures look too rounded for square poles, and the arms look too long. So unfortunately the project looks like what it in fact is, a bad retrofit, for a stretch of 25-40 poles. Shame, I think this is a nice fixture for round poles.

They really are replacing those lights huh. Is this by Steeles or Williams? Kind of looks like the area by Steeles or Williams lol

Yeah! The whole path stretch between Nanwood and Steeles has been done. Looks like our path lights are more threatened than streetlights. Also, I uploaded another shot of what they did going under the bridge at steeles Idea

Hmm, I'm surprised that they replaced the path lights already. Even here, a lot of path lights are still HPS.

This stretch must have become a hassle to continue maintaining, but the rest of the paths aren't far behind.

Interesting on how 'open' this fixture is.
Not a bad looking one either.
