StreetLight #213
This stretch of highway has a random mis-matched selection of lights along it (which actually seems to be a fairly common thing they do here, no idea why)

A GE M-400 I believe?
Image taken from moving car so quality isn't the best.

Yep, this is a 1970-1984 M-400. Smile

Cool. A fair oldie then (I would guess early 80's & most likely HPS)

I guess they must've re-used some old lights in that area when re-doing the highway. Maybe that's why the random mix of fixtures?

Possibly. Perhaps they had spot-replaced the MVs over the years with HPS and then eventually went through and replaced all the remaining MVs and kept the existing HPS lights? They did that here pretty often.

I can't say for the place where these are, but in my area they went through and mass-replaced the MV's Crying or Very sad
Back then I really hated the orange color of HPS, thought the blue-ish on MV looked so much nicer (probably from those childhood days is why I still love MV!)

I wish I could relate, but HPS has always been the norm for me, so I'm just used to it and have never really had a big beef with HPS but the whiter light is definitely more pleasing to the eye. Cool
