Night Sentry Open
A very well built fixture with an interesting design. It has a power door layout, with the wiring connections and photocell socket are in the top half that mounts to the pole, while the swing-down door holds the socket and ballast. Spring contacts connect the door to power when closed. The lamp is accessed by unhooking the springs holding the reflector to the door, and removing the reflector.

The fixture is designed where it can be directly mounted on a wall or pole, or mounted on an arm like a cobrahead.

Judging from many of your pics it looks like we have something else in common too besides lighting and living in Alaska: (...) houses, too! Mine has similar features (unfinished walls, plywood subfloor exposed, etc.

Finally, I get to see the inside of one, I'v seen it in a vintage catalog but not the real deal. Very cool. The disconnect between the upper and lower housing was a safety feature.

The UniDors use that same disconnect too, being a descendant of the Unistyles.

Some B2255s also had a similar disconnect.
