N.Y.C. Peterco "WALK"
This is a 16" Peterco pedestrian signal. Manufactured in Brazil, it first made its debut on New York City streets in the late 1980s. Probably as far back as to 1987. The city installed this until sometime in 1990 or so. It typically served as a replacement for a damaged pedestrian signal at an intersection, while, other times, it was part of an upgrade at an existing signalized intersection.

Basically, the pedestrian signal was nearly identical to the Winko-Matic model VI 2L, due to its design. Even so, there are a handful of differences to mention. One in particular is the font of the signal indications.
