Yeah we have a lot of those too. All of our new buttons that light up make a tune when you touch them Razz The newest buttons here are huge! The button is yellow and the rest of the button is black.! I have yet to get photo of it yet though.

Mike, If the design rules my city uses were applied to the ped signal in that streeview link, fisrt the retaining wall would have to be rebuilt as an enclave around the pole as it would have to be mounted off the sidewalk.

What do you mean by retaining wall?
m@   [Jan 20, 2014 at 12:16 AM]
the bricks holding up the earth behind the edge of the sidewalk

ahh i see what you mean. yeah they install them in the sidewalk and they also install utility poles and traffic signs in the sidewalk too. it's kind of annoying; i wish they'd keep the sidewalks clear. It's annoying to be walking and then having a utility pole in the dead center of the sidewalk. Rolling Eyes Laughing

The ones near my home say "wait" when I push the button. If I repeatedly push it, I can get a "Max Headroom" type stuttering effect. More fun than the old plunger-style buttons that everyone would repeatedly punch....as if that would make the signal change any faster!
