Eco Quest Fresh Air G4T5 Lamp Starter
I found a perfectly working ECOQUEST Fresh Air machine and it has a G4T5 lamp in it. My question is I can see the blue glow from the front of the machine but It is blocked by a metal mesh filter is that still bad to look at? If it is I may replace the lamp with an F4T5 (The machine complains if I remove the starter or lamp) as I don't like the idea of me or someone else getting hurt from a UV lamp

Thanks

Ahh I see. I think you should be fine. If you don't want to use the lamp (isn't the lamp what purifies the air though?) you could stick a regular f4T5 in there just so the machine doesn't acy up like you said it does. I'm not too sure about this. I think if it's all factory original and no one redneck-rigged anything then it should be safe. If Mr. Fix-It played around with it though you can't be too sure. this doesn't look to be modified by anyone though so my guess is you're safe. I'm not all to familiar with germicidal lamps though so hopefully someone else knows more about them and can provide you a more definet answer.
